Frequently Asked Questions

How often should my air conditioning, pumping, or heating system be serviced?

Northeast recommends that you have routine maintenance performed on your equipment a minimum of twice per year. Northeast provides a "Peak Performance Tune-Up". The tune up covers all the necessary maintenance that is required by manufacturer, and ensures that proper maintenance will not be overlooked.

Why isn't my air conditioner blowing cold air?

Air conditioners can loose their charge of refrigerant and require a re-charge. Filters can become clogged with debris, and belts become worn and slip. Northeast will confirm that all these items are in working order.

What size Heating, Cooling, or Pumping System do I need?

Northeast engineering team has the ability to review your site-specific needs and calculate the proper equipment sizing. Determining factors are building size, age of the building, and any client specific applications.

How much does a Service Call Cost?

All new customers receive a free site visit to assess their current equipment and possible needs. Northeast provides services on a quoted or Time and Material basis. Typically scheduled work can be quoted and scheduled. Emergency responses are normally billed on a T & M basis. All of our customers with a Peak Performance Program in place receive a discount on all Services!

Why is my water pump getting so loud and leaking?

Excessive pump noise or leaking is a sign that maintenance is required. If air is allowed to enter the system, it can become trapped in the pump, creating noise and leading to pump failure. Customers often overlook routine servicing of pumps. Pump seal kits, pump alignment, and pump motor voltage checks.
